John David (J.D.) Devore, 51, of Christiansburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth I. Devore.
He is survived by his son, Mason; mother, Lina Devore; sister, Susan; brothers, Ken and Mike; as well as many other extended family and friends.
J. D. was a devoted father and a loving son and brother.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 26, 2012, from 12-1 pm at Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg, with the funeral service commencing at 1 pm in the Chapel. Rev. James Ferguson will officiate the service, with interment following in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in J.D.’s name to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, 110 East Main Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073, to the Christiansburg Fire Department, 110 Depot Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073, or to a charity of your choice.
