Jessie Flinchum, Jr.

Jessie R. Flinchum, Jr., 79, of Pilot, VA, went to be with his heavenly Father on July 17, 2011, with his family by his side.
He was born on October 9, 1931.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jess Flinchum; mother Charity R. Flinchum; 5 brothers; and 1 sister.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna M. Flinchum; son, Billy & wife, Judy of Christiansburg; son, Jeffery Flinchum of Pilot; sister Shirley & husband, Sidney Hodge of Christiansburg; brother, Eugene & wife, Nancy Flinchum of Pilot; and several nieces and nephews.
He attended the Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a lifelong resident of Pilot.
He was a carpenter by trade and retired from Virginia Tech in July of 1955.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, from 6-8 pm at the Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at 2:00 pm in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Leon Alley officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
