James Robert Welcher of Elliston, VA, passed away on December 20, 2021, at his home with his beloved wife of 36 years, Sharon Welcher. She was there holding his hands. James was born on December 5, 1963.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Welcher; wife, Sharon Welcher; 2 brothers, Jeff and Jerry Welcher. He is also survived by his 4 children, Jessica L. Craighead, James P. Welcher, Eddie K. Furrow, and Michelle L. Holleman. James also had 6 beautiful grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Savannah, Makayla, Hayden, Harley, Elizabeth, and Amelia; as well as 4 nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
