JACKIE LEE LILLY, 79, of Shawsville passed away April 30, 2021. He attended church at Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church. Jackie worked in Greenhill and Valleydale meat factories, then later in life drove for Harris Trucking. He was a great father and was dedicated to his family. Although, like his children, he could be very hard headed.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Vera Lester Lilly; parents, Toy & Neta Lilly; 3 brothers, Lando Lilly, Bill Lilly, and young Samuel Lilly; sister, Annie Gieger; and great grandchild, Marlee Lilly.
Jackie is survived by his son, Jackie ‘Lee’ Lilly II and wife, Wendy; daughters, Shelia Ollis and Nickie Hurst and husband, Rodney; 8 grandchildren, Jay Lilly, Amber Turpin, Austin Lilly, Justin Lilly, Jenna Ollis, Phillip Ollis, Jeanna Hurst, and Bubba Hurst; 17 great grandchildren; brothers, James Lilly, Don Lilly, and Dewey Lilly; sister, Donna Knight; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 3rd from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 4th at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Wes Conner officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
