Irene Tolley

TOLLEY, Irene Teel, 91, of Nashville, TN formerly of Christiansburg VA, passed away on January 12,2009 at the Richland Place Retirement Center, Nashville, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James Edward (Ed) Tolley. She is survived by two children, J. W. "Pete" Tolley and wife Debbie of Lynnville, TN and a daughter, Anne Tolley Kelly and husband, J. Edward Kelly of Richmond, VA. She leaves behind two grandsons, Jonathan "Paul" Kelly of Nashville and Bradley William Tolley of Cookeville, TN.
She was the oldest of nine children born to Shelor A. and Effie Altizer Teel of Riner, VA. She is survived by two sisters, Edith Phillips and Peggy Sheppard (Roger), and a brother Don Teel (Betty) all of Christians burg. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Peg Tolley (Tootie) of Princeton, West VA. She was dearly loved by many nieces and nephews.
She was a long-time member of the Christiansburg Church of Christ and most recently of the Hillsboro Church of Christ in Nashville, TN.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 17,2009 at 2:00 PM. With visitation from 12 Noon until time of service at Home Funeral Home in Christiansburg. Interment will follow at the Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Timaothy Hill Children's Home, at Rivehead, New York 11901.
