Irene Lee Stump, 86, of Christiansburg, died Friday, December 14, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rose Craighead; her husband, Riley J. Stump; sister, Ethel May Renfro; brother, Roy Trigg Craighead; sister, Bertha Bower; and Infant Baby Stump.
She is survived by her children, Charlie & Pat Stump, Barbara & Delvis Elmore, Jerry & Hope Stump, Neal & Carolyn Stump, Ronnie & Carolyn Stump, and Joey & Alice Stump. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, Matthew Elmore, Lisa Fulcher, Chad Stump, Beth Lucas, Shawn Stump, Deborah Stump, Samantha Morris, Rebekah Stump, Amy Caswell, Amanda Stump, and Brooke Stump; and eleven great grandchildren. She was a member of New Hope Church of God in Christiansburg.
The family will receive friends at New Hope Church of God on Monday, December 17, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at New Hope Church of God with Pastor T. Michael Bond and Pastor James Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the nursing staff at Skyline Manor Nursing Home in Floyd for the care given to their mother.
