Imogene Brumfield

Imogene Graham Brumfield, 86, of Christiansburg, VA, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold L. Brumfield; and a brother, Elbert Harmon.
She is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, David Wayne & Verna B. Brumfield and Gary Lee & Jennifer S. Brumfield; grandchildren, David Tyler Brumfield, Gary “Josh” Lee II & Rhonda M. Brumfield, Scott & Shannon Brumfield Patrick, Chris & Bethany Brumfield Webb; great-grandchildren, Zack & Amari Vaught, Grace, Evan, and Molly Patrick, and Avery Webb; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.
Imogene was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church. She retired as Assistant Town Manager after 26 years of service with the Town of Christiansburg. She was known to many as “Mrs. B.”.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Wilma Brumfield, Debbie Brumfield, Tammy Sheppard, Nila Leland and Barbara Altizer.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 11, 2011, from 5-8 pm at the Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at 11 am at the Trinity Baptist Church, with Pastors Monroe Hedrick and John Altizer officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Trinity Baptist Church, North Franklin Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073, or to the Boy Scout Troop 42 at Trinity Baptist Church, Christiansburg.
