Moses, Henry I, III, “Hank”, 61 years old of Christiansburg, Virginia passed away January 10 2011 in Radford, Virginia from complications related to Multiple Myeloma.
He was born October 22, 1949 in Radford, Virginia to H.I. and Mary Ellen Moses, who survive him; he is also survived by his wife, Helen V. Moses, of the home; son, Henry and Miranda, of Dublin, Virginia; sisters, Ellen Tompkins, Jacksonville, Florida, and Julia and Marvin Page of Christiansburg, Virginia; also surviving is a nephew, Russ Dudley, of Fairplay, S.C.; niece, Jacqueline Dudley, of Morgantown, WV, and nephews, Joseph Tompkins and Preston Tompkins, of Jacksonville, Florida.
Hank was a member of Christiansburg Church of Christ and attended Ferrum Jr. College and Virginia Western Community College. He served honorably in the United States Army Reserve as a Drill Sergeant from 1965 until 1972.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Horne Funeral Service. Special thanks to the staff at Radford Hospital-Carilion for the kindness and care Hank received while a patient there.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Rd, Roanoke VA, 24018.
