OSBORNE, HELEN DALE ROOP, age 84, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2004.
Born and raised on a farm near Snowville, she was the daughter of the late Guy & Ora Goodwin Roop and the widow of the late, Frank N. Osborne. She is survived by her children, Pat Carpenter of Harpursville, NY, Sue Reaves of Pulaski, VA, Bill Osborne of Christiansburg, VA and Bob Osborne of Wilmington, DE; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; a brother, Ralph G. Roop of Richmond, VA.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8p.m. Thursday evening at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Don Makin officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. The Osborne family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg, VA.
