REEDY LUNSFORD, Helen Irene, 79 of Christiansburg went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 18, 2011.
Mrs. Lunsford was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years, and employed by Hercules in Radford. She loved and cherished her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her first and second husband; William Clyde Reedy and John Lunsford, respectively and one brother, Breece Farmer. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Sharon and David Bishop of Christiansburg, son & daughter-in-law; Gary and Sharon Reedy of Riner, daughter and son-in-law; Karen Reedy-Cole and Curtis Clayton Cole of Roanoke, grandchildren; Ashley Bishop, Timothy and Tiffany Bishop, Joshua and Rachel Reedy, Carmen Reedy, Cassie Cole and Hallie Cole, sister; Iva Barker of Marion, VA, brother; Ted Farmer of Spotsylvania, VA. Also surviving is her granddaughter; Ellie.
The family will receive friends at Faith Missionary Baptist Church from 12 – 2 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2011. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Church with Pastor Mike Vest officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to Christiansburg Rescue Squad P.O. Box 176 Christiansburg, VA 24068.
