Hazel Yearout Rouse, 89, of Christiansburg, passed away on November 23, 2013.
She was born July 20, 1924 to the late Charles B. & Lula (Sweeney) Yearout.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Rouse Jr.; siblings, Elizabeth Yearout, Mary Baker, Willie Mae Brown, Edmond Yearout and Walter Yearout.
She is survived by her son, Stephen Rouse; grandson Nathaniel Rouse; granddaughter, Peyton Ferguson; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 1:30 on Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Christiansburg Baptist Church with Rev. Sean Couch officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, 10 E. Main St., Christiansburg, VA 24073.
