HARMON, GUY B., JR., age 54, of Christiansburg, VA died suddenly Thursday, December, 29, 2005.
He proudly served in the US Army and was employed by Virginia Department of Transportation. (VDOT) He was preceded in death by his father, Guy B. Harmon, Sr.
He is survived by his dear mother, Mildred A. Harmon; sisters, Charlotte and Faye Harmon, sister and brother-in-law, Linda & Eugene McGuire; devoted companion, Jo Ann VanHoozier and pet Sparky; many friends, aunts, uncles, cousins and his second family, members of VDOT.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31st, at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1st, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor T. Michael Bond with interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the members of the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, Christiansburg Fire and Police Departments for the efforts given by them.
