Grace Reynolds Karnes, 60, of Christiansburg, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Reynolds; father, William Washington Reynolds; and a special aunt, Mildred Merritt.
She is survived by her husband, Don Karnes; son, Jeremy Karnes & wife, Crissy of Baltimore, MD; daughter, Kimberly Karnes of Norfolk, VA; brother, Bill Reynolds & wife Irma of Roanoke, VA; sister, Ginny Paris of Urbanna, VA; in-laws, Offie Karnes & the late Albert Karnes of Roanoke; numerous nieces, nephews and other special friends; and beloved pet, Max.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 20, 2012, from 6-8 pm at Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. The memorial service will be held on Friday, September 21st at 11 am at the St. Paul United Methodist Church, Christiansburg, with Rev. Chuck McHose officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations in the form of checks to the Virginia State Park Fund, New River Trail State Park, Foster Falls, 176 Orphanage Drive, Foster Falls, VA 24360 (please write Grace Karnes in the memo line of the check) to pay homage to Grace's love of riding bikes.
