Gertrude Peters

PETERS, GERTRUDE ELLEN, of Christiansburg, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home.

Gertrude was born at Alum Ridge, Virginia. She was a member of the Christiansburg Church of the Brethren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Malinda Lester Peters of Alum Ridge, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Edgar Peters and wife, Velma Lester Peters, Alum Ridge, Alvis Peters of Riner, three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Weda Peters Boothe and Calvin Boothe, Beaver Creek, Florence Peters Bower and James Bower, Riner, Nellie Peters, Alum Ridge.

She is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ocie Peters, Elsie Peters McFarland and husband, Mac, all of Christiansburg; sister-in-law, Jean Peters of Riner, VA; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Friday evening, Aug. 19th, at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20th, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Don Peters with interment to follow in Sunset Cemetery.
