Gertrude Frances Matherly, 91, of Christiansburg passed away on March 5, 2017.
She was a member and long time Sunday school teacher at Christiansburg Presbyterian Church. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, H. Rudolph (Rudy) Matherly, and her parents, Roscoe & Mary Collins. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Fierros & husband, Dante; son, David Matherly and fiancée, Tracy Bertone; and family friend and caregiver, Charlotte Epperly.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Graveside services will be on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 2 p.m. in Sunset Cemetery with Dr. Don Makin officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3959 Electric Rd, Roanoke, VA 24018 or the Christiansburg Presbyterian Church.
