Reed, Frances Joanne (Jo), 58, of Riner, VA, went to be with the Lord and her family on Sunday, October 3, 2010. She was born October 11, 1951 in Montgomery County, VA to the Late Sylvas and Mary Frances Bishop Reed.
She was employed as a warehouse specialist at Radford University. She was very understanding and always there for anybody, especially her family.
She is survived by nieces and nephews; Mary Amanda Reed, of Christiansburg, VA, Jacob Sidney Reed, of Blacksburg, VA, Dakota Lane Sidney(Kodee) Reed of Blacksburg, VA; sister-in-law, Pamela Jean Reed of Blacksburg, VA; aunts and uncles, Ila Belle Reed of Blacksburg, VA, Robert Bishop and wife Robin of Radford, VA, and Lois Wright of Blacksburg, VA; cousin Patricia Overfelt of Blacksburg, VA; 6 special angels, Kodee, Cheyanne, Caitlyn, Bonnie, Joey, and Michael; and a niece, Patricia Fizer.
In lie of Flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Horne Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
