Pettus, Frances Yates, 87, of Shawsville, VA went to be with her Lord on March 4, 2009.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Pettus, and three sons, Curtis Earl Pettus, Paul Edward Pettus and Donald Lee Pettus.
She is survived by her sons, Bobby Odell Pettus and wife, Linda Fay, Kenneth Frank Pettus and wife, Claudine; daughters, Barbara Jean Long and Rebecca Marie Long. She was also loved dearly by her 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was also survived by her sister, Alley Martin, of Vicker, VA; brothers, Bobby Yates of Christiansburg, VA and Gene Yates, of Salem,VA. Also her very best and dear friend Blanch Yates, of Elliston, VA.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2009 at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Powell officiating.
Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg, VA.
