Fern Odham Linkous Means, 76, of Blacksburg, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Joseph and Mary Lexie Odham; husband, Charles Edward Means; siblings, Ed Odham, Howard Odham, and Roberta Hamlin; and son, Roger Linkous. She is survived by her children, Evans Linkous and wife Angela, Mary Landry and husband Adrian, Wilma Cook, and Amy Linkous; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; siblings, Wilma Odham Price, Audrey Odham Sheets, Ann Lee Odham Green, and Carl Odham; as well as nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 14, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jerry Sloss officiating. Interment will follow in George Linkous Cemetery, Merrimac.
