Ernest Sheppard

SHEPPARD, ERNEST RICHARD, age 78, of Christiansburg passed away Wednesday, June 23rd, 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey & Mattie Sheppard; brothers, Burks, Dan, Everett, Harvey, Jr.; sisters, Virgie, Ruby and Willie.

Ernest leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Dorothy; his daughter and son-in-law, Linda & Albert Stewart; his sons and daughter-in-law, Tim & Wanda Sheppard; Jeff Sheppard; brothers, Raymond, Elmer, and Donald; sisters, Elsie and Reba; grandchildren, Ricky Stewart & wife, Kris, Stacey Gregor & husband, Jef; and Stephanie Stewart; step-grandchildren, Jerry Graham & Rhonda Adkins and six great grandchildren.

The family will recieve friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 25th at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wallace Yopp officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Midway Community Church, c/o Lisa Parker, 740 Mount Pleasant, Shawsville, VA 24162.
