Elmer Cecil Lester, 74, of Riner, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 19, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Davis & Cora Duncan Lester; his son, Danny Lester; brother, Kenneth Lester; and sister, Betty Bishop.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Lester; daughter, Joann & husband Jeff Young; daughter-in-law, Brenda Lester; grandson, Travis Lester & fiancée Laramie Millirons; granddaughters, Amy Fields & husband Dehaven, Cynthia Young & fiancé Sam Bain, and Heather Young; great-granddaughter, Autumn Fields; brother, Junior Lester & wife Betty Jo; sisters, Goldie Nester & husband Roy, Rosa Lee Bishop and Judy Thurman & husband James.
Cecil attended Bain Chapel in Radford for over 60 years. He had retired from Federal Mogul after 29 years of employment there.
A special thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice for all their loving care and special thanks to David Harris, Colby Memitt, Daniel Smith, and Buddy & Gail Kirby for all their love and support.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 22nd at 11 am at Bain Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, 4527 Bains Chapel Road, Radford, with Rev. Jerry Sloss officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
