Chapman, Ella Leann, 8 months old, flew to heaven on the wings of angels, February 3, 2010.
Entering the world 13 weeks early on May 16, 2009, Ella touched more people then she had the privilege of meeting. She joins her Great Grand Parents, Al & Frances Poff and W. Morris Phillips in Heaven along with her Grand Mother, Sally Poff Phillips.
Those left to cherish the memories of Ella are her Mother, Sara, brother Jared, her “Angel Dad” Mike, her Nana, Freeda Phillips, MawMaw & PawPaw, Bob & Pat Bruce , two God-Mother’s & Uncle’s, Stephanie & Stephen Kilby and Beth & Greg Blankenship, Uncle John Hylton and his girlfriend Melissa Wirt, godfather; Darrell Hamrick, and many other great-aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family wishes to thank all the caring doctors and nurses at the UVA Children’s Hospital – NICU, along with the staff at Carilion Children’s Hospital NICU and PICU for they love, support and compassion during the past 8 months. We ask that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the UVA Children’s Hospital – NICU in memory of “Ella Leann Chapman” Attn: Donna Hudson PO Box 800232 Charlottesville, VA 22908-0232.
Visitation will be Sunday February 7th from 2 – 5 at Horne Funeral Home. Her memorial service will be Monday February 8th at 11 a.m. at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kathy Hale officiating.
