LEDFORD, Elizabeth “Betty” Whitlock, 83 went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 24, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband; James V. Ledford, Jr. of sixty four years, passing in January of this year.
She is survived by three children; Brenda Akers, Jim Ledford III, and Cindy Grubb, eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice for the wonderful care given in her time of need.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Rice officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
