Edgar Allen (J R) Page Jr., 75, of Pilot, passed away on October 21, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Allen Page Sr. and Lucille Nunn Page. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Jeane Miller Page; children, Scott Page, Sarah Page, all of Pilot, and Sandra Hyre and husband Jeff of Winchester; grandchildren, Jessica Page, Briana Page, Beth Troxel, and Vanessa Troxel; brothers and sisters, David and Elaine Page, Jean and Tommy Lafon, Ann and Clinton Smith, Bob and Betty Page, and Betty Buzzard; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Allen worked for the Virginia Department of Agriculture for 32 years, and was a loving father, husband, and grandfather and will be missed by so many.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 23, 2014, from 5-7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Page Family Cemetery, 4458 Gold Rush Road, Pilot. Pastor Shake Smith will officiate the service.
