Dorothy Myrtle Rogers, 83 of Christiansburg, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George & Myrtle Hypes Rogers. She is survived by her children, Steve Rogers & wife Ann of Christiansburg, Sandra Conrad & husband Joe of Christiansburg, Teresa Ward & husband Peter of Salsbury, NC; grandchildren, Renee Williams & husband Michael of Troutville, Julia Gregory & husband David of Christiansburg, Joey Conrad & wife Jenny of Christiansburg, and Noah Ward of NC; great-grandchildren, Claire Ann Williams of Troutville and Ethan Michael Gregory of Christiansburg; sister, Katie Jordan of Christiansburg; brother, George (Bobby) Rogers & wife Betty of Charleston, SC; special nieces and nephews, Trisha McCall, Doris Waddell, and Scottie Jordan; and special great-nephew, Jake McCall.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 10, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 11th at 11 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Jim Bayne, Minister officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
