Doris Bowyer Linkous, 85, of Wytheville, Virginia (formerly of Christiansburg), died Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at her home. She was a member of the Wytheville Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd A. Linkous; a son, Tony Linkous; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou and Bill Merkt; a grandson, Christian Merkt; a brother-in-law and his family, Harold, Betty, David and Elena Linkous; and two nieces, Cyndy Graham and Carol Mangold.
A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Friday, March 24th at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bill Armstrong officiating. Friends may call at Horne Funeral Service, Inc.,Christiansburg, Virginia beginning at 1:00 pm before the service. The family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Southwest Virginia, 600 West Ridge Road, Wytheville, Virginia 24382.
