Dora Lester

Dora Gae Lester, 93, of Christiansburg, died Friday, December 7, 2012. She was born October 24, 1919, a daughter to the late Dennis Gilbert and Bessie Mae Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Gray Lester; and sister, Winnie Fark.

Surviving are her son, Norman Gray Lester; grandchildren, Theron Lester & wife Cynthia, and Lori Lester; and special friend, Lindwood Altizer.

Dora Gae was a devoted, loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling across the United States always looking forward to the next adventure. She was a lifelong seamstress who took pride in making her own clothes throughout the years.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 10, 2012, at 11 am in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Terry Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 9th from 5-7 pm at Horne Funeral Home.
