Donald Roop, of Christiansburg, passed away May 20, 2012 at home with his family after a long illness.
He was preceded in death by parents Miller and Rosie Roop; brother Ralph Roop; and sister Colleen Caldwell.
He is survived by his wife Susie Roop; daughter Amanda Roop, sisters Ann Ruth Thorton, Louise Akers, and Carolyn Caldwell.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, May 24, 2012, from 5-8 pm at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Friday, May 25th at 2 pm at Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Pilot, with Rev. Earl Hanks officiating. Interment will follow in Weaver Cemetery, Pilot.
Special thanks go out to Good Samaritan Hospice, and special friends Melissa McMahon, Gus Sheppard, Lenny Hall, and Vicky Gillespie.
