McGUIRE, DONALD EARL, age 57, of Radford, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2005 at his home.
The son of the late Alexander Merle and Neda Thompson McGuire he was raised in the Pentecostal faith. He was a faithful employee of DeHart Tile Company for many years and often enjoyed pickin' with the guys, "House to House."
Preceded in death by his wife, Sally Kanode McGuire, he is survived by two daughters, Wendy M. and Jeff D. Hodge, Denise Faustino and Jonathan E. Tolley; three grandchildren, Alan H. Faustino, Jr., Grayson P. Hodge and Hayley P. Hodge; sisters, Frances M. Mottesheard, T. Sharon Defibaugh and husband, Richard; nieces and nephews, Adam J. Defibaugh, Neda E. Defibaugh, Jeff and Linda Mottesheard and Phillip M. Mottesheard.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Sunday evening at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 20, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Phillip Martin with interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memroials be made to the American Cancer Society. The McGuire family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg. (382-2612)
