David Earl Hylton, 77, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on Thursday, November 19, 2020.
He was born in Danville, VA on April 16, 1943 to the late Early Clyde and Ila Hylton.
David is survived by his wife of 32 years, Gloria Hylton; children, Greg Hylton (Becky), Tony Hylton, Tony Huff (Rhonda), Tracy Shelton (Charles); grandchildren, Justin Huff, Brittany Huff, Micah Shelton, Parker Ellis; sister, Nell Long (Stanley); as well as a host of other family and friends.
David retired from Poly Scientific after 43 years. He was a longtime member of Pilot United Methodist Church and served as Treasurer of the Church. In his free time he enjoyed collecting many different things and spending time with his family. He was a loving and kind husband, father, and grandfather and is missed greatly.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 22, 2020, from 12-2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 2 p.m. in the Chapel, with William Norris officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hills, Willis, VA.
