Danny Crawford, 68 of Christiansburg went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2018, surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Richard Crawford; and his brother, Terry Crawford. Danny is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Ann Crawford; daughters, Jamie Rizak (Paul) and Amanda Collins (Tommy); mother, Lois Crawford; special niece, Christy Dillon; grandchildren, Kenneth Rizak, Abby Rizak, Cameron Collins; siblings, Carolyn Shepherd (Ken), DeeDee Overstreet (Wayland); and a host of other family and special friends.
Danny proudly served in the Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He retired from RAAP and was an avid bowler, golfer, and fisherman.
The family would like to thank the Salem VA for their special care of Danny.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 11, 2018, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at 1 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Steve Akers and Mary Lou Akers officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Disabled American Veterans.
