McDowell, Dale V., 83 of Christiansburg passed away Sunday, March 23, 2008 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Born April 8, 1924 in Charleston, WVA, to the late Charles V. and Josephine Walton McDowell, he was also preceded in death by a brother Glenn McDowell and a great granddaughter; Anna Grace McDowell.
He is survived by his wife; Anita, son and his wife Vernon and Sandy, A Special Grandson and his wife; Kevin and Laura and a very special great granddaughter; Faith McDowell all of Christiansburg, a sister-in-law; Delores McDowell of Charleston, WVA. Also survives.
Dale was a veteran of the United States Marines, serving in WW II.
At his request there will be no visitation or funeral services. Anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution, please consider the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, P.O.
