BISHOP, CLAUDE EDSEL, age 86, of Christiansburg, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was a long time member of the Christiansburg Pentecostal Holiness Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Buckner Bishop. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Maybelle Roxanne & Neville Winston McNeil of Check; Diane & Ty Trenor of Newport, VA; grandson, Christopher Scott McNeil of Check; two granddaughters, Michelle Long of Blacksburg; Tina Nicole Trenor of Roanoke; three great grandchildren, Colton, Billy and Josie Long; brother and sister-in-law, Okie & Wilma Bishop of Christiansburg; two nephews, Sonnie Sumner of Rocky Mount; Mark Bishop of Christiansburg; one niece, Roberta Jackson of Christiansburg; two sisters-in-law, Ida Thompson and Elva Gearheart both of Christiansburg; one brother-in-law, Luther Buckner of Radford; and five very special and loving friends, Pauline, Lynn, Dana, Judy and Gladys.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 17 at the Christiansburg Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Richard Kingrea officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 176; Christiansburg, VA 24068. The Bishop Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg. (382-2612)
