Charlotte Leomia Simpkins, 80, of Christiansburg, VA, passed away on December 6, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley B. Bishop and Annie “Mearl” Likins.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Coy H. Simpkins; 4 sons, Howard Simpkins & wife, Bobbie of Dublin, Shannon Simpkins & wife, Charlene of Ellett Valley, Darrien Simpkins & special friend, Jennifer Buckley of Christiansburg and Michael Shane Simpkins & wife, Teresa of Christiansburg; brothers, Earl Bishop & wife, Agnes of Moneta, and Jimmy Bishop & wife, Alice of Draper; sisters, Rebecca Mannings & husband, Craig of Radford, Mary Jo Assaid of Floyd, and Frances Clark & husband, Steve of Winchester; 2 granddaughters; 2 grandsons; 1 step grandson and 1 step granddaughter.
Charlotte was a loving wife and mother and was a charter member of the Radford Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 8, 2011, from 5-8 pm at the Horne Funeral Home & Crematory. The family requests that no flowers be sent.
