FISHER, Charles Thomas, (Tommy) 54 of Christiansburg passed away, Friday, August 28, 2009. Tommy was employed with Virginia Tech for over 20 years with the CNS Department.
He was a member of Edgewood Methodist Church and was an active member of the Pearisburg Volunteer Fire Department. His hobbies were; Reading, restoring old cars, gardening at home, boating and fishing. He was the son to the late, Charles Leroy Fisher.
He is survived by his wife; Susan Jean Fisher, mother; Velma Galliher Fisher, children; Christy Camacho, David and Dawn Camacho, grandchildren; Zachary Camacho, and Braxton Camacho, mother-in-law; Helen Elswick, also surviving are Cindy and John Stone, Linda and Ted Bolen, Joe and Vickie Elswick, along with other extended family and friends who were involved in his life. He will also be missed by his furry companions, especially Junior who he deeply loved.
The family will receive friends at the Horne Funeral Home, Monday, August 31, 2009 from 5 – 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2009 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Bradley and Dr. Fred Austin officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
