Carl Ray (Snuffy) Smith, 62, of Christiansburg passed away Friday. November 4, 2016.
He retired from VDOT after 34 years of service.
Carl loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Smith.
Carl is survived by his wife, Mary Smith; son, Dale Smith and wife, Jennifer; grandson, Cody Smith; father, Frank Smith; brother, Ronald Smith; sisters, Shirley Queen and Janice Smith; nieces, Megan, Katie and Hannah.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
