Buster Denton Altizer, 77 of Riner, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Oakley and Edna Teel Altizer; wife, Hazel (Sue) Barnett Altizer; sister and brother-in-law, Ruby A. and Lester Shelor; five brothers and two sisters-in-law, Willie and Loretta, Foster and Geraldine, Kenneth, Alvis, and Edgar Altizer; and one brother-in-law, Eddie Viers. He is survived by his daughter, Sherrie Altizer; son and daughter-in-law, Denton and Renee Altizer; granddaughters, McKenzie Altizer and Katelyn Altizer; sister, Edith Viers; sisters-in-law, Carol, Elsie, and Naomie Altizer; the children’s mother, Shelby Altizer; special niece, Linda Bonds; and special nephew, Bruce Altizer.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Kenny Farley officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military rites by the VFW Post 1184.
