Brenda Bland

BLAND, BRENDA COLLINS, age 51, of Christiansburg passed away Monday, December 27, 2004.

She was preceded in death by her biological father, Oscar Collins, grandmother, Lillie Kanode, and brother-in-law, Pete Edmonds. She is survived by her husband, Alan Bland; children, Tina Slusser-East and Patricia Bland both of Christiansburg; parents, Charles and Alma Bishop of Christiansburg; sisters and spouses, Kathy & Steve Akers of Christiansburg, Patsy & Joe Craft of Christiansburg, Karen & Ralph Harless of Giles, half brothers and spouses, George & Sandy Collins, Berry & Deb Collins and Bruce Collins, Kenny & Vanessa Collins all of Riner; half sister and spouse, Ellen & Willie Keith of Christiansburg; sisters-in-law and spouse, Barbara Edmonds of Christiansburg, Linda Barker & Richard Stanford of Christiansburg; brothers-in-law and spouses, Edward Bland & Sharon Ross of Blacksburg; Freddy & Karen Bland of Roanoke; Phillip Bland of Christiansburg; grandchildren, Ethan Slusser and Breanna East of Christiansburg and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 30th, 2004 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Buford Linkous officiating. Interment will follow in Den Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family to offset funeral expenses. The Bland Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, (382-2612).
