On Monday April 8, 2013, Betty Creason Sturgill, 78, of Christiansburg, went peacefully to our Savior Jesus Christ, and was reunited with her husband, Jerry.
She is survived by Barbara Hise, Sharon and Bobby Hensley, Neal and Donnna Sturgill; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters; and a brother.
Betty touched many lives by owning and operating a child care facility, working at VPI, and serving at St Paul United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts, camping, and games, especially canasta. She taught us love, devotion, courage, and strength.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday April 13, 2013, at St. Paul UMC, Christiansburg. In lieu of flowers, donate to St. Paul's-Agape Fund.
