WIMMER, BERTHA LIGHT, age 91, of Pilot, VA passed away on Friday, September 18, 2009.
She was born on June 2, 1918 to Grover and Flora Light. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Wimmer and sons, Gene Wimmer, Frank Wimmer, Marvin Wimmer and Ronnie Wimmer.
Left to cherish her memory are her grandsons, Marvin Wimmer, Roanoke, Jeffrey Wimmer, and Scott Wimmer, both of Christiansburg; granddaughters, Lisa Wimmer Watts, Roanoke, Michelle Wimmer Austin, Riner; great-grandchildren, Adam and Sarah Wimmer, Brian Wimmer, Brandi and Joshua Watts, Tyler and Coy Austin; special daughters-in-law and friends, Betty Wimmer, Riner, and Bonnie Wimmer, Christiansburg. She is also survived by her loving extended family at Wheatland Retirement Home, Christiansburg.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 pm, Sunday, Sept. 20 at the Horne Funeral Service. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept 21st, in the Horne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Monroe Hedrick officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
