DUNCAN, BARRY PAUL, age 23, of Check, VA passed away suddenly Thursday, November 29, 2007.
Preceded in death by his grandfather, George William Duncan., he is survived by his parents, Ronnie Dale and Sheila M. Duncan, Check; sister, Chelsey Duncan of the Home; his fiancé, Traci McDougal, Snowville; grandmothers, Dorothy Duncan, Riner and Barbara Lambert, Galax; a special friend who he treated and thought of as a grandfather, Leon Black, Fries; aunts and uncles, , Margaret Vaughan, Galax, Becky and Carmie Joyce, Laurel Fork, William and Sandra Duncan, Riner; cousins, Chris and Jena Duncan, William Duncan, Jr. all of Riner, Lori & Chancey Sheppard, Radford, Angie and Sherman Dean, Pulaski, Amanda Vaughan, Galax, Ashley Joyce, Brandon Joyce, Laurel Fork; special friend, Sgt. Danny Burroughs, Radford.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robbie Patton officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
