PENDRY, ANNIE RUTH HANDY, age 95, of Elliston, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at her residence.
She was a member of Lafayette Methodist Church for over seventy-five years.
The daughter of the late Ivan and Lucinda Taylor Handy she was preceded in death by her husband, Orley A. Pendry and ten brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Marjorie Travis, Salem, VA, Dorothy Perdue-Lampley and husband Walter of Christiansburg, VA and Rockingham, NC; son, Orville Pendry, Elliston, VA; grandsons, M. Stephen Perdue and wife, Jeannie, Midwest City, OK, Lee Travis, CA; granddaughters, Sandy Graham and Dale, Salem, VA, Sharon Nuckles and husband, Timothy, Danville, VA; great great-grandchildren, four girls and one boy.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Friday evening at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Tim Nuckles and Pastor Ben Locklear with interment to follow in Lafayette Cemetery, Elliston, VA.
