Albert Mayberry

MAYBERRY, ALBERT L., 90, of the Brandon Oaks Community in Roanoke, VA, passed away on September 29, 2004, with his family by his side.
He was raised in Slingerlands, NY and enjoyed a long and successful career with General Electric in upstate NY. Al and his wife, Nell, moved to a much loved home in Boiling Springs Lakes, NC, upon Al's retirement in 1974, and for the next 25 years thoroughly enjoyed traveling, playing golf, cards, managing his investments, spending time with family, and maintaining a beautiful home. Al and Nell moved to Brandon Oaks in February, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Nell S. Mayberry, stepsons, Bill, Tom and John Huntington, brothers Ken (Ginny) and Harold (Marie) Mayberry, sister, Sally (Lawrie) Hibbard, and twelve step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Ed and John. Great appreciation is extended by Al's family to the extraordinary care and kindness of the staff of the Virginia Lutheran Nursing Home, Al's home since April, 2004.
