SHEPPARD, AARON NATHAN, age 84, of Christiansburg, departed this life to be with his loving Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 18, 2005.
He was reunited with his wife Margaret Louise Sheppard after a life devoted to serving God. A.N. served the Lord through singing and spreading the Gospel with his band, the Blue Ridge Gospel Singers.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son and daughter-in-law, Trent and Bonnie Sheppard; grandchildren, Josh and Amy Sheppard of Christiansburg; Megan and Loren Hess of Belspring; brother, Minar Shepherd of Pilot; sister, Nedi Shepherd Snider of Salem; special nieces and their husbands, Milly & Don Apgar of Lafayette, Helen & James Meredith of Salem; special nephew Billy Shepherd of Salem; and numerous nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Helen Butt of Winston-Salem, NC; Gladys Mills and Beatrice Butt of Lafayette.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m Saturday, August 20th at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 21st at the Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverend Richard Kingrea and the Reverend Everett Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. The Sheppard Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg (382-2612). ?WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT!?
